According to data released by Vinci, which owns ANA in Portugal, in the first six months of the year, national airports registered 33.93 million passenger traffic, 4.8% more than in the same period in 2024.
Lisbon Airport registered 17.23 million passengers in the first half of the year (50.7% of the total), a year-on-year increase of 3%, followed by Porto Airport (7.897 million; +5.5%) and Faro Airport (4.620 million; +7%).
The largest growth compared to the first six months of last year was observed at Madeira Airport, with a 12% increase to 2.687 million passengers handled. Finally, in the Azores, ANA reported a 4.5% increase in passenger traffic, to 1.499 million.
In terms of commercial traffic, airports managed by ANA registered a 3.7% increase by the end of June, reaching 227,360 flights, with Lisbon Airport also leading the way, but with a less significant increase (+0.9% to 109,929 flights).
In Porto, commercial flights increased 4.5% to 51,502, in Faro the increase was 7.6% to 30,210, in Madeira by 13% to 18,452, and in the Azores, the growth was 3.6% to 17,116.
