In addition to those arrested, two legal entities were indicted during the operation.

According to the prosecutors, the crimes in question include unauthorized access, computer forgery, computer and communications fraud, and the manufacture, import, distribution, sale, rental, or possession, for commercial purposes, of illicit devices.

To date, the investigation has identified hundreds of beneficiaries of the illegal activity.

During Operation Open Signal, as this investigation was titled, three search warrants were executed, both residential and non-residential, specifically at two private residences and a commercial establishment. Various computer equipment was seized, some of which was intended to enhance the illicit distribution of television content, as well as more than one hundred thousand euros in cash.

The detained suspects were subsequently released by order of the Public Prosecutor's Office, according to the same statement from the Judicial Police.

The investigation continues with the analysis of the seized material, aiming for a complete clarification of the facts, within the framework of an inquiry led by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Valença.
