Gas and oil prices rose again after the US-Iran negotiations in Pakistan ended without an agreement this weekend, and after Donald Trump announced that the United States intends to block all vessels attempting to enter or leave the Strait of Hormuz.
In this context, the price of natural gas rose 8.60% to €47.66 per megawatt-hour, although it reached €49.52 at the opening.
By 6 am, on 13 April, the price of Brent crude oil, the European benchmark, rose 7.51% to $102.25, and it reached $103.87 during the early morning.
Last week, the price of natural gas fell sharply by more than 19% following the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran and the start of peace talks over the weekend in Pakistan, which ended without an agreement.
