According to information on the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) website, the municipalities of Loulé, São Brás de Alportel, and Tavira are at maximum fire risk today, and another 10 municipalities in the Faro district are at very high and high risk.
Several municipalities in the districts of Évora, Beja, Setúbal, Portalegre, Santarém, Coimbra, Viseu, and Bragança present a high risk of rural fire.
According to the institute, the risk of rural fire will remain high on Friday due to the forecast of hot weather.
