On 17 June, at 6 pm Lisbon time, Portugal faced the Democratic Republic of Congo in the 2026 World Cup.

In the 6th minute, João Neves scored a goal, bringing joy to the Portuguese fans.
However, near halftime, Wissa, from the Congolese team, scored the second goal of the game.
The score remained the same until the end of the match, which took place at the Houston stadium.
