According to the TalkSport portal, as cited by Correio da Manhã, the current coach of the Portuguese national team, Roberto Martínez, will leave the team after the 2026 World Cup.

According to the same source, the coach's contract ends at the end of the competition, and Martínez is available to coach Premier League clubs or other European clubs. The coach does not rule out coaching another national football team.
Correio da Manhã also reports that Jorge Jesus may be the leading candidate to fill the position after rejecting a contract renewal with Al-Nassr.
