According to a flash estimate from the European Union's statistical service, the annual inflation rate slowed from 3.2% in May but remains above the 2.0% target for June 2025.
Analysing the main components of inflation in the eurozone, energy is expected to register the highest annual rate in June (8.7%, compared to 10.8% in May), followed by services (3.2%, compared to 3.5% in May), food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco (1.6%, compared to 1.9% in May) and non-energy industrial goods (0.9%, stable compared to May).
