Known as Rogfast, the tunnel will replace ferry crossings and is designed to improve year-round transport. Its “Great Hall of Lights” will use coloured lighting and spacious caverns to help drivers navigate the long journey.

The tunnel will reach about 390 metres below sea level and include a large underground roundabout connecting routes beneath the fjord. Engineers expect Rogfast to become a key part of Norway’s coastal highway network when construction is completed. It will also feature illuminated caverns inspired by Norway’s natural landscapes to enhance the driving experience.
