Around 80 percent reported better physical health, while 90 percent said the facility helped them meet others. The project, created by Emmaüs Solidarité and Finnish company Omnigym, aims to make exercise more accessible for people experiencing homelessness.

The initiative was designed to remove barriers to exercise for economically vulnerable people. Research shows disadvantaged groups are less likely to be physically active, making access to free facilities especially important. Organisers say the project demonstrates how exercise can support physical health, social connections and overall wellbeing among people experiencing homelessness.
