In 2027, American Airlines will connect Porto to Philadelphia on a route operated by an Airbus A432XLR. This will be the first time Porto has received an American Airlines flight at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport.

The American airline reveals that “with the stunning natural landscapes of the neighbouring Douro Valley complementing the beautiful blue and white tiles and unique charm of Porto, passengers can start planning that long-awaited getaway to Portugal.”

Porto is just one of the European destinations the carrier will fly to, as flights to Vienna and Reykjavík are included in its 2027 flight schedule.

The airline's website does not specify whether the flight will be operated seasonally or annually. However, information indicates that the route will operate daily.
