In a race decided by a five-person sprint, Bernardo Pereira completed the course in 1:33.44 hours, just one second ahead of Frenchman Pierre Vilella, the current absolute world champion, securing the European title in two categories in a single race with the best SS1 time of the event.

Constança Frazão also secured gold for Portugal, finishing her challenge in 1:53.26 hours, 31 seconds less than Spaniard Andrea Colmard Jiménez, the junior world champion, in a podium completed by Briton Katie Luen-Twining, 1.21 minutes behind.

Constança Frazão, who saw Carolina Pereira finish sixth, more than three and a half minutes behind, had won bronze at the junior world championships in 2025 in Durban, South Africa.

In the same category, Pedro Moreira was only surpassed by the Italian Leonardo Candela, who finished in 1:37.32, leaving the Portuguese 1.52 minutes behind.

In the senior category, Sara Sotero also stood out with her seventh place in a race won by the Spaniard Judit Vergés Xifra.
