Taking place on 7 and 8 October, the 1st National Summit of Local Accommodation will discuss key structural themes for the sector at the Batalha Cinema Centre in Porto.

The event will feature more than 40 speakers, Publituris reports, and will welcome 200 participants for two days of debate focused on the themes of housing, regulation, tourism, territory, sustainability, skills development, and innovation.

Housing and tourism debate

The organisation highlights guest speakers such as Ana Mendes Godinho, Strategic Director of Tourism at the Nova University of Lisbon, former Minister of Labour and former Secretary of State for Tourism; Luís Pedro Martins, president of Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal; and Catarina Paiva, administrator of Turismo de Portugal.

The event will also welcome representatives from public administration, academia, associations, and companies, who have “different perspectives on the relationship between Local Accommodation (AL), housing, tourism, and territorial development,” as the organisation states in a press release.
