The supermarket chain has already opened stores in other parts of Portugal, and now Portimão has its own store, with another one expected to open in Faro in November.

The opening attracted a lot of people, with many coming to see the new store for themselves.

Alongside the fresh food sections, bakery, fruit and vegetables, there’s a “Pronto a Comer” area with prepared meals and self-service. And it’s not just about food: Mercadona’s own brands include Hacendado groceries, Deliplus cosmetics and skincare, and Bosque Verde cleaning products.

You’ll find the store at Nova Vila Retail Park, Rua dos Custódios, Chão das Donas, 8500-469 Portimão. It is open from 9 am to 9.30 pm.
