In Alcácer do Sal, Setúbal district, Seguro received 79.15%, Ventura 20.85%, and the abstention rate of 71.23% was higher than the national average (50%), according to provisional results released by the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Internal Administration – Electoral Administration.

In Arruda dos Vinhos, Lisbon district, the future president won with 72.6% of the votes, against 27.3% for Ventura, registering an abstention rate of 59.8%, also above the average.

In Golegã, in the district of Santarém, António José Seguro won with 69.07%, and André Ventura had 30.93%. Abstention was at 66.78%.

António José Seguro, former secretary-general of the PS, was elected President of the Republic on 8 February with a record number of votes and more than 66% of the votes, and André Ventura, the candidate supported by Chega, obtained close to 33%.

In the event of a postponement, the law provides that the elections be held on the following Sunday, and that is what happened in Alcácer do Sal, Arruda dos Vinhos and Golegã.

In addition to these three municipalities without any votes last Sunday, voting was also postponed in two polling stations in Santarém, in a parish and in a polling station in Rio Maior, and also in a parish in Cartaxo, in a parish in Salvaterra de Magos and in another in Leiria, according to the National Elections Commission (CNE).

In total, eight municipalities were affected by the election postponement. According to the CNE, 36,852 voters are registered in the 20 parishes and polling stations.
