The CEO, Jaime Costa, hopes that the competition will continue at the AIA beyond the two years already planned.
In an interview with DAZN Portugal, the executive said the event's economic impact will never be "less than €150 million" for the country, with the possibility of a return of between €180 and €200 million for the Algarve, with the events held at the AIA.
Although the dates are not fully defined, Jaime Costa states that it will not take place during the peak summer tourist season. Thus, the plans are for the competition to arrive in the Algarve in 2027, either before or after the peak summer season.
