The new store will open in Alegro Setúbal and is part of an investment plan of over €45 million, aimed at strengthening the brand's presence in Portugal.

The brand's expansion in Portugal promises to open four new stores and expand the store at Forum Coimbra. Thus, the brand will have 18 stores in Portugal by the summer of 2027.

In addition to Setúbal, Primark will open new stores in GaiaShopping, in Vila Nova de Gaia. Stores will also be opened in Forum Castelo Branco and in the centre of Porto, where the brand's first street store in Portugal will be located.

The company guarantees that the expansion plan aims to employ around 300 people, revitalising the areas where the new stores will be opened.

Quoted in a statement, Nelson Ribeiro, Head of Sales for Primark Portugal and Spain, says that “Portugal is an important market for Primark and this investment reflects our confidence in the market. Over the past 17 years, we have built a solid presence and developed a loyal customer base that appreciates our combination of timeless essentials and current fashion.”
