Primark continues to grow in the country and will open another store in September, this time in Setúbal. The space opens as part of the €45 million investment the brand announced for the Portuguese market in May 2026.
Primark will open a new store on the south bank of the Tagus River in Portugal, namely, in Alegro Setúbal, also in the Setúbal district. The space opens after an investment of €45 million, with the announcement made in 2026.
The new store will have 1,626 square meters of retail space and was created to give shoppers a unique shopping experience. The store will have self-checkout lanes and regular checkout lanes. The new store will create more than 50 jobs, contributing to the local economy.
The new store opens at 10 am on 10 September, marking the brand's 15th store in Portugal.
Other openings
Also in September, specifically on the second day of the month, Primark will reinforce its presence in the centre of the country with the opening of a new store in Forum Castelo Branco.
First street store
Primark will open its first street store in Porto, with five floors.
