According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA), the yellow warning will be in effect between 12 pm and 9 pm on Tuesday, 9 June.

The yellow warning, the least severe on a scale of three, is issued whenever there is a risk to certain weather-dependent activities.

IPMA forecasts for 9 June on the mainland mostly clear or sunny skies, moderate to strong winds with gusts on the coast and in the highlands, and a slight rise in temperature inland.

IPMA's forecast for 9 June indicates minimum temperatures ranging from 11 degrees Celsius (in Viana do Castelo, Guarda, and Braga) to 18 degrees Celsius (in Faro), and maximum temperatures ranging from 20 degrees Celsius (in Aveiro) to 34 degrees Celsius (in Faro).
