The concert, scheduled for 3 November, “marks the reunion of the Portuguese public with one of the most influential, innovative and enduring projects in contemporary music,” says the promoter Sodade.

Duran Duran, led by Simon Le Bon, emerged in Birmingham in 1978, at the height of the New Wave movement.

The band debuted live in Portugal in 1982, with shows in Lisbon and Porto, and then returned in 2005 for a new headline show.

Later, they performed at the Delta Tejo festival in 2008 and Rock in Rio in 2022, both in Lisbon.

Duran Duran is responsible for songs such as “Girls on Film”, “Rio”, “Ordinary World”, “Hungry Like The Wolf”, “Come Undone” and “The Wild Boys”.

The band's most recent album, “Danse Macabre”, was released in October 2023. The album includes new songs, reinterpretations of older ones, and covers of songs by artists and bands such as Billie Eilish, Talking Heads, and The Specials.

Tickets for Duran Duran's shows in Lisbon, starting at €70, will go on sale from 9 am on 18 June.
