The fire, which started at 10:49 am on 23 June, surrounded several villages, but there was no need to evacuate people.
"We have to report four firefighters with minor injuries from trauma, resulting from falls, and one treated on site," said the same source.
At 6:30 am, 348 personnel remained on site, supported by 123 technical resources and 10 threshing machines.
"There are no villages at risk at this time [6:30 am]," indicated the same source, adding that firefighting resources will be reinforced with aerial resources during the morning.
On 23 June, firefighting efforts were hampered by strong winds and gusts, which caused incandescent particles to be projected more than 500 metres away.
The fire also forced the closure of National Road (EN) 2 in Besteiros in both directions on 23 June as a preventive measure.
At the peak of the fire, 12 aircraft were also deployed.
