Afro Nation 2026’s final day had the vital role of living up to the hype generated over a whole 3 days of partying to some of the finest tunes in Afrobeats, and it lived up to the expectations. The evening on the Lit Stage was opened by P Montana at 4pm, who set the intense celebratory tone for the rest of the day. Later, Florito & Kelson M W played, followed by Theodora, R2BEES, Niska, Kehlani, with the night being closed by the legend Wizkid. On the Piano People stage, meanwhile, the music began with residents DJs Daphfinee and Success SA, after which played Mawhoo, Skyla Tylaa, Kelvin Momo, Scotts Maphuma, Daliwonga, Madumane (aka DJ Maphorisa), with the night being closed by DJ Lag.

Over in NoSoloÁgua beach club, the Technotronic stage proved to be an immense success on its debut, playing its last day from midday to 8pm. Guests have been able to take pleasure in listening to a larger variety of music than ever, including in exclusive hotel takeover packages, where pool parties have been held with live music by Joshua Baraka, Mellow and Sleazy, Skyla Tylaa, Uncle Waffles, and JAZZWRLD, among others.
Aside from the music, guests were also able to enjoy Afro Nation 2026’s plentiful food offerings, such as Senegalese cuisine in Abarka, Caribbean-inspired patty pizzas from Pazza Crust, a unique African fusion wrap concept pioneered by Raps, West African cuisine courtesy of Rhythm & Roots, and iconic dishes from Africa and the Caribbean found in the YAM Food Court, an initiative led by the organisers so that more people can enjoy dinner on the beach, accompanied by an Afrobeats soundtrack.

You forgot two mention the wonderful after parties at Nazar restaurant lasting until 5am beside a hotel and in the middle of a residential neighbourhood. Thank you to the geniuses from the city of Portimão that approve this special event of mental torment for residents of Praia da Rocha. The festival and its attendees are mostly respectful and beneficial to the city, but it is completely irresponsible for the city to approve an event like this outside of the entertainment district in the middle of people homes. And don’t bother calling the police because their literal response was “this is Portugal”. And when speaking to the GNR trying to explain the police weren’t doing anything about liquor service and blasting music and people peeing on every surface surrounding the restaurant, the GNR’s response was “we don’t work inside cities”. Great job Portimão and the police service. Today I’m embarrassed to be Portuguese.

I fully agree with your take on this. Also Red Heart at Cloque in Tres Castelos is guilty of this disrespectful behaviour. Response from Police: "oh it's difficult, it’s a party weekend"
