Alongside one of the most powerful lineups in the festival’s history, the best hosts and DJs will be entertaining the crowds across every stage, and the iconic YAM Food Court will be serving up the best African and Caribbean-inspired dishes on the beach. Beyond the festival is a wide array of exclusive Boat and Pool Parties, Hotel Takeovers, Artist Meet & Greets, secret sets and more – making Portimão the ultimate destination for the global diaspora between Friday, 3 July, and Sunday, 5 July 2026.

This year’s celebration will be led by global heavyweights Burna Boy, Wizkid, Asake, Tyla, Gunna, Kehlani, Ludmilla, Mariah The Scientist, Theodora, Olamide, and more on the Lit Stage, beside the Piano People family, Uncle Waffles, Kelvin Momo, Focalistic, Madumane and more, plus an exclusive lineup representing the very best across Afrobeats, Amapiano, dancehall, and hip hop.

As the anticipation builds, Afro Nation Portugal 2026 is shaping up to be the festival’s biggest and most immersive edition yet.

Throughout the weekend, every corner of the beach will be bursting with energy and vibes as Afro Nation reveals a stacked roster of hosts and DJs soundtracking every moment across the Lit, Piano People and Afrotronic stages. Among the confirmed hosts are Shopsydoo, Willz Wida Vibez, W1zzy, Teddy Goodfella, and Xavier, as well as DJs P Montana, Spaceship Billy, OV, Flygerian, Shiiva, and many more.

In addition to the main stages, Afro Nation Portugal continues to deliver an experience unlike any other festival in the world.

The return of the hugely popular boat and pool parties will once again transform Portimão into a full week-long destination for music, culture and connection. Those with Golden and VIP tickets will have access to three days of Afrotronic takeovers at NoSoloÁgua beach club, featuring Kitty Amor, Afrokillerz, Epidemia and more, whilst sold-out boat parties set sail from Thursday to Saturday, hosted by OVMBR, Detty Whine, Lit, Piano People presents Groove Station, and WAV.

Furthermore, Afro Nation has curated some unbelievable Hotel Takeovers for the first time this year, for the ultimate all-round experience. In partnership with TRACE+ & The Kimpton, AP Oriental Beach, and Marriott Salgados, these packages include luxury hospitality coupled with exclusive Meet & Greets and Pool Party takeovers featuring the likes of Uncle Waffles, Joshua Baraka, JAZZWRLD, Mellow and Sleazy, Skyla Tylaa, and so much more. This festival will be welcoming back the famous YAM Food Court, bringing together some of the most mouthwatering African and diaspora-led food traders from across Europe, such as crowd favourite Jollof Mamma, who returns once again after becoming one of the festival’s longest-serving traders, renowned not only for its West African dishes but also for catering many of the artists backstage.

The community can also expect flavours from Abarka, serving Senegalese and African cuisine, Pazza Crust with its viral Caribbean-inspired patty pizzas from London, Raps, the African fusion wrap concept founded by Tinnie Tempah, Lisbon favourites Rhythm & Roots, widely regarded as one of the city’s leading West African restaurants, and Yaji Lisbon, founded by three sisters born in Nigeria and celebrated for bringing authentic Nigerian flavours to Portugal.

Afro Nation Portugal is where songs of the summer are born, with so many future classics being witnessed for the first time live. From Asake’s new album M$NEY featuring his viral hit WORSHIP to Tyla’s second album APop on the way, the South African sounds of amapiano, Afro house and 3 Step have also reached incredible new heights in 2026 as they continue to evolve and dominate dancefloors worldwide.

With music, food, fashion, travel and community all colliding on the stunning Algarve shoreline, Afro Nation Portugal remains far more than a festival. It is a global meeting point for the culture, uniting thousands from around the world in one shared celebration of African music and identity.
