Danish retail chain Normal will open a new store in Beja on July 23, continuing its expansion across Portugal. The new location will be situated at Beja Jardim retail park on Estrada das Apolinárias, near the road to Serpa.

The store will be open daily from 10am to 10pm and will stock the retailer’s full range of products, reinforcing the brand’s presence in the Alentejo region.

Wide product selection

Normal has built a growing customer base by offering a mix of well-known brands, viral social media products and international items at competitive prices. Its range includes skincare, cosmetics, haircare, personal hygiene products, household cleaning supplies, snacks and drinks, with more than 4,000 products available across its stores.

The retailer is also known for its distinctive store layout, which guides customers through every aisle in a maze-like shopping experience designed to encourage product discovery.

Opening celebrations

To mark the opening, Normal will host a launch event featuring entertainment and special surprises for the first visitors.

“We are very happy to continue expanding Normal’s presence in Portugal and to now arrive in Beja. This opening represents another important step in our growth in the Alentejo region and allows us to be even closer to consumers in the region,” said Isabel Balsas, country manager of Normal Portugal.

Founded in Denmark in 2013, Normal now operates more than 700 stores across several European countries, including Portugal, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Finland and the Nordic region. The retailer has confirmed plans to continue expanding its network of stores in Portugal in the coming years.
