For Milena, the competition is about far more than beauty. She hopes to use the platform to raise awareness of endometriosis, a condition that has shaped her own life.

"I'm using this platform to give a voice to endometriosis. After years of being told everything was normal, I was eventually diagnosed and had to figure out almost everything on my own. There was very little information available," she said.

That experience inspired her to start creating content to help other women recognise the symptoms, seek the right diagnosis and better manage the condition. In 2026 alone, her content reached more than three million views.

For Milena, taking part in Miss Portugal is about much more than competing for a title. It is another chance to raise awareness of endometriosis and encourage women to keep searching for answers when they know something isn't right.
