Taking place at The Els Club Vilamoura from July 31 to August 2, the tournament brings together more than 50 players aged 50 and over, including Major champions and Ryder Cup legends, for three days of competition on one of the Algarve's newest golf courses.

The Portugal Invitational is the first PGA TOUR Champions tournament ever to be held in Portugal, adding another milestone to the country's long-standing reputation as one of Europe's leading golf destinations.

The event is being played at The Els Club Vilamoura, a course designed by four-time Major champion Ernie Els. Following an extensive redevelopment, the venue has become the Algarve's first private members' golf club and is hosting its biggest international tournament to date.

Before the competition got underway, players took part in a two-day Pro-Am, giving invited guests and amateur golfers the chance to play alongside the professionals. Portuguese football legend Luís Figo was among those taking part, while Portuguese golfer Ricardo Gouveia also joined the event.


Golf fans attending the tournament have the opportunity to watch some of the sport's most recognisable names up close, with players including Ernie Els, Pádraig Harrington, Colin Montgomerie, Miguel Ángel Jiménez and Bernhard Langer among those in the field.

For visitors, the tournament offers more than just golf. Spectators can walk the course, follow their favourite players and experience the atmosphere of a professional event in one of the Algarve's best-known resorts.

With its first edition now underway, the Portugal Invitational has brought international attention to Vilamoura and introduced a new chapter for professional golf in Portugal.
