As reported by NiT, the Coimbra attraction has introduced the limited-time initiative to coincide with the August school holidays.
The offer is available exclusively through online booking until 10 August, or until the first 3,000 children’s tickets have been claimed, whichever comes first. Tickets obtained through the campaign can be used for visits up to 30 September.
Social legacy
Located in Coimbra, Portugal dos Pequenitos is one of the country’s best-known family attractions and has welcomed generations of visitors since opening in June 1940. The park, managed by the Fundação Bissaya Barreto, was established to continue the social legacy of physician Fernando Bissaya Barreto, whose work focused on improving children’s welfare and education in Portugal.
This attraction features miniature replicas of some of Portugal’s most recognisable buildings and monuments, allowing both children and adults to explore the country’s architectural and cultural heritage on a smaller scale. The park is divided into three themed areas showcasing 81 miniature monuments, 28 traditional regional houses and representations of 10 countries, combining educational experiences with family entertainment.
According to SAPO, Portugal dos Pequenitos remains one of central Portugal’s leading cultural attractions, welcoming school groups, families, university students, senior visitors and organised tours throughout the year.
Its exhibitions aim to introduce visitors to Portuguese history, architecture and the historical links between Portugal and other parts of the world.
Exclusive campaign
The current promotion applies to online sales only, with adult admission priced at €14.95, while seniors cost €11.95, and each qualifying purchase includes one complimentary child’s ticket under the terms of the campaign.
Portugal dos Pequenitos is open daily from 10am to 7pm, with the summer initiative expected to encourage more families to visit during the peak holiday season.
