The INNO-ANTIDOTE project is an Erasmus+ initiative involving partners from Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Malta and Portugal. It is a dynamic initiative designed to empower young people aged 18 to 26 across the Mediterranean (MED) region to lead the fight against climate change and environmental degradation. Faced with the unprecedented challenge of environmental collapse, younger generations are stepping up to help create a more sustainable future.

The initiative aims to equip young people in the Mediterranean region with the tools and knowledge they need to become climate innovators and green entrepreneurs. The project focuses on three key areas—land, water and air sustainability—and supports practical solutions through education, community action and the development of green start-ups.

INNO-ANTIDOTE brings together the expertise, creativity and commitment of specialist partners from across the Mediterranean, combining strengths in business innovation, sustainable practices and green entrepreneurship.

Together, the project partners aim to drive change in resource conservation, pollution reduction and sustainable economic development across terrestrial, aquatic and atmospheric ecosystems.

Today’s young people are inheriting a world facing unprecedented environmental degradation and climate instability, caused by generations of unsustainable practices and delayed action. Environmental destruction has reached a tipping point, with natural systems beginning to collapse, threatening socio-economic stability and the health and wellbeing of communities worldwide.

Young people in the Mediterranean region, in particular, face the challenge of leading the transition towards a more sustainable future amid this complex crisis. Existing political and economic systems have largely failed to respond to the urgent need for solutions, leaving younger generations to shoulder both the responsibility and the burden of reversing environmental damage.

The INNO-ANTIDOTE project recognises this challenge and seeks to empower young people across the Mediterranean to play an active role in environmental protection through entrepreneurship and innovation. For this reason, VogalOrizontal, together with LAIA (Armona Island Defence Association), is organising the Eco Walk.

The Eco Walk is a volunteer activity involving the collection of plastic waste on Armona Island. It aims to raise awareness, inspire leadership and engage local communities in fostering a stronger sense of environmental responsibility. Volunteers will receive a light refreshment and a complimentary T-shirt. More than 100 participants are expected to attend.
