This was one of the town’s most important religious and cultural traditions, bringing together residents, pilgrims and visitors. The celebration had taken place in the area since at least the 17th century.

The main religious moment was held on 15 August. It included a Mass followed by a procession through the surrounding area. The procession carried images of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, Santa Teresinha and São Nuno de Santa Maria, accompanied by the Filarmónica União Sertaginense.

The festivities also included music and entertainment. Visitors watched folk performances, enjoyed concerts by Banda Rytmos, Sérgio Rossi, Banda Acesso and Grupo FHL, and danced with DJ Shark. There were also food stalls and spaces for people to meet and celebrate.
