Portimão’s InDireita Street Fest returns on 3 and 4 October for its eighth edition.

Organised by the cultural association P.O.I.S!, the festival turns Rua Direita into a place for people to meet, enjoy live performances and discover local artists and businesses.

This year, it will also extend into Praça da República, better known as the Alameda.

The weekend begins with a Stock Out on Saturday. Participating shops will offer end-of-collection items at special prices, encouraging visitors to spend time in Portimão’s city centre.

On Sunday, Rua Direita will host the main festival programme, with concerts, street performances, circus workshops and shows, children’s games, live art, food stalls and an artisans’ market.

Visitors can also take part in a community planting activity to bring more greenery to the street.

The music line-up includes Bruna Marino, Tabea, MUD, Naomi Falcon and the Dub Collective, Tiago Saga and The Band Rehearsal, The Backpockets and Brazilian group MB2.

All festival activities are free.
