Organised by Tagus - Associação para o Desenvolvimento Integrado do Ribatejo Interior - the event will be held on the southern bank of the Aquapolis Riverside Park, in Rossio ao Sul do Tejo, Abrantes, in the Santarém district.
The initiative aims to promote the natural and cultural wealth of the Tagus River, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy the largest river on the Iberian Peninsula and its scenic banks. Over three days, the event will feature a diverse programme including live music, gastronomy, traditional crafts, children’s entertainment, sports, ethnographic displays, hot air balloon rides, and equestrian performances.
A showcase of local agriculture and food products, flowers, plants, and handmade crafts will be available, along with activities that promote the region’s heritage and riverside cuisine – particularly local freshwater fish. Outdoor experiences will include fishing, padel, canoeing, hiking, and mountain biking.
The market will run on Friday from 5pm to midnight, Saturday from 3pm to midnight, and Sunday from 3pm to 8m. Sunday morning will feature a dedicated market for fresh produce, flowers, and plants.
Tagus highlights that the event celebrates the River Tagus as a symbol of identity, tradition, and local development, while also recognising it as a valuable natural, cultural and touristic resource.
