As Switzerland finalised its trade deal with Malaysia, in collaboration with the other EFTA states, the country is further expanding its network of free trade agreements.

Guy Parmelin, Economics Minister, has stated that this deal will strengthen trade relations, offering companies an improved market, and provide more secure guarantees for environmental protection and labour rights.
The new agreement offers great potential for Swiss companies, with Malaysia ranking as the fifth largest economy in Southeast Asia, increasing trade and investment.
