Firefighters from the Lisbon Fire Brigade Regiment announced they will go on strike starting November 17, citing the poor working conditions, staff shortages, and lack of equipment, while guaranteeing only minimum services.

The protest, organised by the National Union of Firefighters, will continue until its leader meets the Mayor of Lisbon to address the management failures and safety concerns.
This strike will focus on prevention and inspection services, pavement cleaning, and other services that do not compromise emergency response.
