Located in the city of Horta, the boutique property was created inside the former Liceu da Horta building, a landmark with deep cultural and intellectual roots dating back to the 19th century.

The project represents an investment of around €8.5 million and will feature 20 rooms and five apartments, with a strong focus on personalised guest experiences.

Managed by Amazing Evolution and developed by Portuguese company Lamparina Melódica, the hotel takes inspiration from the building’s literary and educational past. Before becoming a school, the property was home to the Grémio Literário Faialense, once a gathering place for the island’s intellectual elite.

According to hotel director Olena Dolga, the project aims to attract travellers looking for culture, exclusivity and tailored experiences in the Azores.

Alongside luxury accommodation, guests will have access to curated island experiences, including excursions, wellness programmes, transfers and regional events.
