According to information available on the IPMA website, the municipalities of Silves, Loulé, São Brás de Alportel, and Tavira (Faro), Chamusca, Vila Nova da Barquinha, Tomar, Ourém, Alcanena, and Ferreira do Zêzere (Santarém) are at very high risk of wildfire.
Also at very high risk of wildfire are the municipalities of Batalha, Marinha Grande, Alvaiázere, Ansião, Figueiró dos Vinhos, and Pedrógão Grande (Leiria), Penela, Miranda do Corvo, Pampilhosa da Serra (Coimbra), Vila de Rei (Castelo Branco), Bragança, and Mogadouro (Bragança).
According to IPMA, the municipalities of Faro, Beja, Évora, Lisbon, Leiria, Santarém, Coimbra, Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Viseu, Porto, Viana do Castelo, Vila Real and Bragança present a high risk.
The risk of rural fires will worsen from 17 June, remaining high at least until the weekend.
This risk, determined by IPMA, has five levels, ranging from low to maximum. The calculations are obtained from air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and the amount of precipitation in the previous 24 hours.
