The airline has confirmed that it will discontinue all routes from the airport following a review of its network.

As reported by The Sun, passengers with bookings beyond the withdrawal date have already been contacted and will be offered either a transfer to an alternative flight at no additional cost or a refund.

easyJet currently operates routes from Leeds Bradford to destinations including Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Málaga, Paris, Geneva and Belfast.

In a statement, the airline said the decision followed a review of its routes and that it was concentrating on services that attract the strongest customer demand, adding that it would continue to revise its network as it looks for opportunities to improve connectivity.

Route network

The move marks the end of more than 15 years of easyJet operations at Leeds Bradford.

The carrier began flying from the airport in 2010, initially launching a service to Geneva.

The airline later expanded its network, adding Belfast and Paris services.

Despite easyJet’s departure, Leeds Bradford Airport will continue to be served by other major carriers, including Ryanair and Jet2.

The airport has also recently invested heavily in its facilities, including a £100 million terminal expansion opened last year, which increased retail and seating areas and added new lounges.

Further expansion of the airport’s route network is expected, with Jet2 planning to launch new services to destinations including Santorini and Preveza for summer 2027.

Leeds Bradford currently has a mix of short- and medium-haul services, with Hurghada in Egypt among its longest routes, taking around five hours and 40 minutes.

The airport has previously outlined ambitions to introduce long-haul services in the future, including potential links to destinations in North America and the Middle East.
