There are some places in the Algarve that still manage to surprise me, and Praia dos Estudantes is definitely one of them.

Getting there is part of the experience. You walk through a tunnel carved into the rock and, as soon as you come out on the other side, you're greeted by one of the most beautiful views in Lagos. The small golden beach and the famous stone bridge create a scene that almost doesn't look real.

What makes this beach even more special is that it feels a little hidden. It doesn't really have its own direct access. Most people reach it through the tunnel from the neighbouring Praia da Batata.

Despite being just a few minutes from the centre of Lagos, Praia dos Estudantes feels like a secret corner of the Algarve.
