Originally laid out in the 19th century, this park was designed to showcase an international collection of botanical wonders, transforming a steep hillside into a winding, lush retreat.
Unlike the curated, manicured gardens found at the nearby palaces, the park feels wilder and more intimate. You move through dense tunnels of ferns, towering Himalayan cedars, and Australian tree ferns that have thrived for over a century in the valley’s unique microclimate.
It is a space designed for slow movement, where the paved walkways force you to navigate the dramatic topography of the serra.
