Goran Bregovic (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Seun Kuti with The Egypt 80 (Nigeria/France), Natacha Atlas (Egypt/Belgium), Bonga (Angola), Lura (Cape Verde), Salif Keita (Mali), and Tiken Jah Fakoly (Ivory Coast) are some of the artists who make up the program.

Musician Sérgio Godinho, who was supposed to perform for the first time at the MED Festival, cancelled the show due to "an insurmountable physical setback" and will be replaced on the bill by Vitorino.

The festival will also feature performances by Los Van Van (Cuba), Calle Mambo (Chile), Arooj Aftab (Pakistan), Bohemian Betyars (Hungary), Tangomotan (France), Expresso Transatlântico (Portugal), and Fidju Kitxora (Portugal/Cape Verde).

The program will include a new MED Conference Cycle, "which invites personalities linked to the artistic world and beyond," according to the Loulé City Council, which organises the festival.

In this edition, the venue has been expanded, and a new space, the MED Lounge, has been created. In addition, a new entrance to the venue has been created, next to Largo de S. Francisco, while maintaining the two that already existed.

Three-day passes cost €40, and daily tickets cost €15. On Sunday, admission is free, and children up to 12 years old do not pay admission on any day.
