A source from the Sub-Regional Command of Médio Tejo said that the three horses were run over at 8:42 am on the line connecting Lisbon to Porto, in a field near the Riachos train station in the municipality of Torres Novas.

At 9:30 am, 17 personnel were on site, supported by five vehicles.

CP - Comboios de Portugal informed on the social network Facebook that the rail service is interrupted between Riachos and Mato Miranda (municipality of Golegã) due to “an incident on the track”.
