Data from the National Statistics Institute (INE), overnight stays by residents rose by 3.8% in June (compared to 6.7% in May) to 2.5 million, while stays by non-residents, who had maintained a growth trajectory since October 2025, fell by 0.6% (compared to a 1.1% increase in May) to 5.7 million.

Regarding the year-to-date figures through June, the rapid statistics on tourism activity released today by the INE indicate that overnight stays totalled 36.8 million; total revenues for the tourist accommodation sector amounted to €3,148.3 million, with room revenues (derived solely from overnight stays) totalling €2,371.1 million.
