From the Geodesic Centre of Portugal, in Vila de Rei, you could see the Moon passing in front of the Sun and covering part of it, making the landscape appear darker during the day.

The Geodesic Centre is located near the village of Vila de Rei, in the district of Castelo Branco. It marks the geographical centre of Portugal.

At this site, the eclipse was partial, with the Moon covering around 95% of the Sun. People gathered at this hill from 18:30; the eclipse reached its peak at approximately 19:34 and ended shortly after 20:30. During the eclipse, people couldn't look directly at the Sun. It was recommended that people acquire proper glasses that could protect their eyes from UV light and allow them to look at the sun.
