The planned interruptions will affect locations in the Lisbon region, Alentejo and Algarve, with some areas expected to be without electricity for up to six hours.
Information published in the E-REDES scheduled interruptions database shows that one of the longest cuts will take place in Arroios, Lisbon, where electricity is expected to be interrupted between 5am and 11am.
Mafra, in the Lisbon district, will also be affected, with interruptions scheduled between 6am and midday in several areas.
Southern region
Further south, a number of locations in Odemira are included in Sunday's schedule.
In the Union of Parishes of São Salvador and Santa Maria, electricity cuts are expected between 7am and 11am. Longueira/Almograve is also among the affected areas, with the interruption planned for the same four-hour period.
Other parts of the Alentejo will also see temporary cuts. In Elvas, areas within the parish of São Brás and São Lourenço are expected to lose electricity between 6am and 11am.
In Mora, scheduled work will affect several locations in the parish between approximately 7am and 11am.
The Algarve is also included in Sunday's planned works. In Vila do Bispo and Raposeira, electricity is expected to be interrupted between 7am and 11am.
Local information from Vila do Bispo identifies Monte Figueira Velha, Rua Vale Matias Fernandes, Sítio Alamedas, Sítio das Eiras, Vale Marmeleiro and the Vila do Bispo Industrial Zone among the affected locations. The municipality has also warned that, in the event of unforeseen circumstances, the work could potentially continue until 3pm.
Distribution network
The interruptions are scheduled to allow E-REDES to carry out work on its distribution network and do not mean that entire municipalities will be left without electricity.
Only the locations included in the planned works are expected to be affected.
Residents can check the E-REDES scheduled interruptions service by date, municipality and parish to see whether their address is included, as the programme may still be updated.
