Launched to celebrate the region's most famous resident marine mammals, the resident bottlenose dolphins of the Sado Estuary, this charming installation brings an explosion of colour, creativity, and whimsy to the city's maritime gateway.

First introduced to the waterfront, these life-sized fiberglass dolphin replicas are dynamically posed in three distinct stages of flight above the waterline: launching out of the waves, arching at the peak of their jump, and plunging back into the deep. What makes the display truly special is how they are decorated. Each statue serves as a blank canvas, painted and customised with wildly imaginative, thematic designs crafted largely in collaboration with local schools and regional artists. From vibrant abstract patterns to motifs celebrating local maritime heritage, no two cetaceans look alike.
