To celebrate the occasion, the supermarket is offering free gift baskets to its first customers, along with several discounts during its opening week.

The new store is located in Quinta do Romão, in the municipality of Loulé, an area close to the future Municipal Market. Its opening will give people living nearby another convenient option for buying groceries without having to travel further for their daily essentials.

For those planning to visit on opening day, there is an extra reason to arrive early. The first 150 customers who spend €40 or more will receive a free basket filled with products from Continente's own brand.

But the opening celebrations will not be limited to the first day.

From 3 to 8 November, customers will also be able to benefit from a promotion offering 10% of their purchases back on their Continente Card, subject to the campaign conditions. The supermarket's promotional leaflet will also include €5 discount vouchers for purchases over €20.

With food prices remaining an important consideration for many households, these introductory offers may be particularly welcome for local families looking to save a little on their weekly shopping.

The new supermarket follows the Continente Bom Dia concept, which is designed around smaller neighbourhood stores rather than large hypermarkets. The idea is to make everyday shopping easier, particularly for people who prefer to pick up fresh products, bread, fruit, vegetables or a few missing ingredients without spending too much time in a supermarket.

For residents of Quinta do Romão and the surrounding streets, having another supermarket within easy reach could make a difference to their daily routines.

Quarteira is also a town where the population changes considerably throughout the year. While the summer months bring large numbers of visitors and holidaymakers, many residents live and work in the area all year round. Access to supermarkets and other everyday services therefore remains important beyond the busy tourist season.

The new Continente Bom Dia will join the existing Continente Modelo supermarket on Avenida de Ceuta, giving customers in Quarteira another location to choose from.

The store is situated on Rua Valas da Alagoa, in Quinta do Romão, and is scheduled to open at 8 am on 3 November.

Anyone hoping to take advantage of the free gift basket promotion should keep in mind that only the first 150 qualifying customers will receive one.

With several promotions planned for the first week, the opening could attract plenty of interest from local shoppers, especially those living just around the corner from the new supermarket.
