Compared to the 2023/2024 school year, there were fewer than four cases of bullying and fewer than nine cases of cyberbullying in the 2024/2025 school year, according to the same police force.
“This was once again the most worked on issue within the school community, with 6,336 awareness-raising actions involving 131,246 students, as well as 1,481 individual crime prevention contacts,” the statement said.
In the last school year, the Safe School Programme teams carried out a total of 31,640 awareness-raising activities on various topics, with 730,934 participants, and 82,834 individual crime prevention contacts.
For the next school year, 10 national operations are already planned, dedicated to prevention and awareness of bullying and cyberbullying, human rights and equality, prevention of violence in sport, juvenile delinquency, and possession and use of weapons.
The PSP's awareness-raising actions will also focus on the safe use of the internet, the 112 emergency number, domestic and dating violence, addictive behaviour, mistreatment and sexual abuse, and road safety.
