Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Vitória is a historical church in Lisbon, classified as a Public Interest Monument, and it stands as a visible testimony of the city’s reconstruction after the 1755 earthquake.

Its reconstruction began in 1765 and ended in 1824, giving the church a Pombaline architecture with a single nave. The main statue of Nossa Senhora da Vitória, from 1769, is attributed to the sculptor Machado de Castro, a key figure in Portuguese art of that period.

Located on Rua da Vitória in the Santa Maria Maior parish, the church is open to visitors every day of the week, except for Mondays. Inside, the church preserves its religious atmosphere and historical details, making it a quiet example of Lisbon’s post-earthquake religious architecture.
