I wrote Peace early in 2024 and released it as a single in April 2024. It came about by accident as I’d been cogitating on the plethora of appalling news which spewed out from the news channels on a daily basis, relentless and utterly sad, showcasing the grimness of mankind’s disposition to either wield power or reduce its acts to the lowest form of humanity.

I still believe that humankind is essentially kind and good and that this far outweighs the cesspit we’re made aware of on a daily basis.

Hence Peace; the desire and fervent wish that we can bring about a world that cherishes and values the common man and encourages peace, love, decency, respect and compassion towards our fellow man.

What started as a piano riff merged with a completely separate orchestral arrangement that I was working on; I combined the music files by accident. What came out was a haunting and ethereal piece that, for me, encapsulated what I was trying to say.

It’s a utopian aspiration for a world of less violence against the innocent and the voiceless.
