50-year-old American golfer Zach Johnson has earned his fourth PGA TOUR Champions title of the 2026 season, as well as his third victory in his last four starts.

Johnson only made his PGA TOUR Champions debut in March 2026 and closed his fourth title win with a bogey-free, 7-under 65 in the final round, the PGA Tour reports.

He led by four and eventually finished at 19 under, defeating Stewart Cink by two shots. Cink already holds four wins on the Champions circuit in the 2026 season, and Padraig Harrington was solo third, two shots back of Cink, Golf Channel reports.

Johnson thanked Ernie Els and praised the Els Club as an amazing facility and golf course, expressing gratitude: “I’m very lucky.” Johnson also credited his amazing team back in the United States, saying he was “humbled and grateful.”

The Els Club in Vilamoura won the award for World’s Best Private Golf Club in 2025 and is an exclusive establishment where membership is only extended to golfers proposed by Founder Members or those invited by the club.

Johnson dominated with three consecutive birdies at the start of his round, before carding a 31 on his front nine. According to Golf Channel, the most indicative of Johnson’s skills during the tournament was a birdie putt at the turn and another to close out his round at the par-4 18th.
