The new route reinforces the Air France-KLM group company's operation at Brussels Airport, where Transavia has operated since 2022, including connections to Faro.

In 2026, the Franco-Dutch company inaugurated its own crew base in Brussels, with local flight attendants and cabin crew, framing the new connection with the growth of operations in that city.

Transavia already provides connections between Amsterdam and Porto, so the opening of the new route from Brussels allows the company to expand its offering to Portugal and meet the existing demand in the leisure market between Belgium and our country.

Transavia operates nearly 400 routes from France, the Netherlands, and Belgium to destinations in Europe and the Mediterranean basin. In 2025, Transavia France transported approximately 16 million passengers.

Last week, the Air France-KLM group, owner of Transavia, reported a loss of 61 million euros in the first half of the year, compared to a net profit of 401 million euros in the same period last year.
