It's located close to the much more famous Praia da Marinha, but Albandeira definitely deserves a place on your list too. It's usually a little quieter and has a more peaceful atmosphere, especially outside the busiest weeks of summer.

Be prepared for the drive there, though. The road is full of bends and very narrow in places. Although traffic moves in both directions, there are several sections where it feels like only one car can fit, so it's worth driving carefully.
From the car park, a wooden boardwalk and staircase lead down to the beach. You can choose to head to the left or right side. If you go to the right and continue walking along the cliffs, you'll reach the famous natural arch, one of the area's best-known landmarks and a popular place to stop for photos. The coastal path also continues towards other viewpoints, making this beach a favourite with hikers exploring the coastline.
We spent some time walking around before heading down to the beach, and the views from the cliffs are just as impressive as the beach itself. The clear water also makes it a popular spot for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and diving, while many boat tours pass the coastline during the day.
I also recommend stopping at Bar Pirata, which overlooks the beach. It's a great place to enjoy the views while having lunch, and their pizzas and salads are definitely worth trying.
